Welcome!

What can I expect?

We get it; you want to visit a church, but you may be nervous about fitting in.  Every church is different, and it can be confusing.

Where do I park?

You can park anywhere around the building in the parking lot, but most find it convenient to park at the front of the building near the sanctuary.  (This is the SE part of our building, or on the front-left as you face our building from Campbell St.)  Click here for directions.

What happens when I arrive?

You’ll be greeted at the door and given a Sunday bulletin. Our greeters will be happy to help you find the right class

room for your children or to get seated in the sanctuary or answer any questions you may have.

What about the kids?

We have classes available for children during the Sunday school hour as well as childcare for children up to pre-k age during worship services.  We love children and desire to see them know God and the Bible!

What about babies?

We love babies! If you have small children, we welcome you to bring them. We have a great nursery facility for infants and toddlers.  Our loving workers are eager to serve both you and your baby. If you would like to keep your baby in the service, you are welcome to do that as well. There is a private area in the nursery for nursing mothers as well.

What are your worship services like?

Our services are designed to maximize the possibility of your hearing a message from the Bible in a way that you can walk away and immediately apply it in your life. Our music worship team leads us in singing that is meant to prepare our hearts to hear God’s Word, worship in song, and respond to God’s Word working in us.  Our primary concern is that God is honored in the way we worship Him through careful handling of the Bible text, music, and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

How should I dress?

Feel free to come as you are.  Most dress in a casual or business-casual style, so you will see a range of styles when you come.  Some may wear jeans and others may wear a dress shirt and slacks.

Do you embarrass guests during the service?

Not if we can help it!  We generally don’t point out our guests during the service, or ask them to stand up.  However we do love it when visitors fill out the visitor tab in the bulletins and drop that in the offering.  The information helps us to keep track of where our visitors come form, what their needs are, and if they’d like to know more about the church.  We may send a letter or two to you, but we make a point of not signing people up for anything that would be thought of as junk mail or spam.

What version of the Bible do you use?

We recognize there are several very reliable versions available and have chosen from those to use the English Standard Version–or ESV–as the main version we use.  If you would like to know more about the ESV version Bible, feel free to click here for a little more about the ESV or here to learn more about Crossway Publishing, the main publishers of the ESV Bible.
